Sustainability in Action

Intelligent production plants and processes ensure efficient and resource-conserving operations at V?GELE’s main facility.

In the industrial city of Ludwigshafen am Rhein, JOSEPH V?GELE AG has a cutting-edge production plant for road pavers, screeds, and material feeders. Around 1200 skilled employees, multiple intelligent production systems, and an efficient factory design guarantee optimal and sustainable processes.

Low emissions by using solvent-free powder coating rather than wet painting
Recycling of waste heat to heat the factory sheds
High-speed shutters with minimal opening times save on heating energy
Extraction systems have energy-saving valves and frequency inverters
Biological treatment of wastewater without use of chemical additives

“Green highlights” at V?GELE

Powder-Coating Facility

In the cutting-edge V?GELE powder-coating facility, workpieces are suspended on an automated system, cleaned, and then coated with powder in a multi-stage process. It is significantly more eco-friendly than conventional wet coating. Powder-coating also leads to much better surface quality.

Certified according to ISO 14001:2015

Keeping the ground, air, and water clean is one of the company’s fundamental principles. This has led V?GELE to implement an environmental management system at the main facility in Ludwigshafen, which has been certified according to ISO 14001:2015 since 2024. V?GELE have thereby committed themselves to continue working to reduce emissions and improve resource use.
